The 2022 venue has modern audiovisual equipment but there are times when we are unable to connect personal laptops / tablets to the projector. For this reason, you must bring your presentation on a USB drive, or alternatively email your presentation to the EEOM secretary in advance.
Oral presentations are kept to 10 minutes duration. A good rule of thumb is to have about 1 slide per minute. Therefore your presentation shouldn't exceed 12 slides. Graphs/images are a good way to convey information and will keep the attention of the audience.
Prizes will be awarded for best overall presentation, and best student or foundation doctor presentation, as scored by our judges.
Posters will be shown electronically in the meeting breaks and an abstract booklet will be produced including links to online versions of all posters submitted via email by 12:00pm 18th July. We do not expect paper posters to be displayed on the day.
Please produce your poster using powerpoint or similar software in landscape format. We recommend it is submitted as a PDF to prevent any formatting issues. Completed posters should be sent to Henry.Dunne@addenbrookes.nhs.uk. or secretary@eeom.co.uk
You should try to ensure that the title is clear and that the print is legible The poster should elaborate on your abstract but be succinct enough to keep the viewer's attention. Images/diagrams are important to avoid large blocks of text.
A prize will be awarded for the best poster, as scored by our judges
